My Story

I grew up in the bayou country of Louisiana, where I learned to love spicy food, to cook, and to laissez les bon temps rouler (“let the good times roll”).  It is also the place where I began following Jesus from a young age and where I met so many vibrant examples of living faith. 

Sensing a call to ministry while in high school, I prepared for this vocation at Louisiana College, Southern Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky and concluded my Master of Divinity degree in Biblical Languages at New Orleans Baptist Seminary. I have served churches for over 30 years, using my speaking and leadership gifts to reach people of all ages. In addition to serving Baptist churches, I value the great resources found throughout the Christian community and served as an ordained priest in the Anglican tradition for the last 15 years.

I love helping people activate the spiritual power available to them to deal with life’s struggles and experience God’s best.  Coming alongside as a spiritual coach, I bring seasoned and biblical wisdom for individual struggles such as anxiety, forgiveness, grief, and doubt. After years of discipling men, I especially excel in working with guys who are ready to address their personal and spiritual issues. I also work with couples and families to provide pre-marriage preparation, marriage healing and parenting solutions.

In addition to spiritual guidance, I also have an abiding passion for leadership issues.  As an experienced and active executive coach, I love helping leaders develop professionally and equipping teams to create a productive, creative, and engaging culture at work.

I love the outdoors, enjoy sports, and staying fit. I’m a voracious reader, love a wide range of music and pick up my own guitar now and again.  I am most grateful for Steffanie, my wife of 26 years and my two young adult daughters. These ladies are God’s “graduate assistants” in my life to teach me about love and being a better human.
